Description
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, revise, and finalize High-Definition Commercial Free-To-Guest (HD-FTG) video systems projects and commercial installations according to predetermined deadlines, budget requirements and HD-FTG product specifications. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying and acquiring appropriate resources, managing day-to-day operational aspects, coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors/consultants, and applying our company methodology and standard set in order to install HD-FTG systems at commercial customer sites. Additionally, the Project Manager will define the commercial project’s objectives and working with internal departments will ensure HD-FTG systems are properly supported and maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
• Works with the Director of Video Operations to develop from beginning to end, full scale project work plans for PureHD’s HD-FTG platforms and systems.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using necessary tools, effectively communicate project expectations to internal team members and outside stakeholders.
• Identify and source the proper services and equipment needed and assign individual contractor responsibilities to successfully deploy the different HD-FTG platforms.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documents, and presentations as requested.
• Draft and submit budget proposals, determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor payables for all assigned projects.
• Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards while maintaining installation timelines and budgets.
• Minimize our exposure and risk on project, proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise cost effective contingency plans.
• Continue design and cost engineering efforts to maximize productivity and profitability.
• Identify business development and “add-on” sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project and communicate them to proper sales channels.
• Build and maintain a knowledge base of each client’s business, organization, needs, objectives and key contacts, continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
• Possess strong management and organizational skills. Organize and train other internal departments to maintain FTG skill sets for support and ongoing maintenance of HD-FTG platforms.
• Perform quality assurance testing after third-party contractors’ complete commercial HD-FTG system installation.
• Some travel required, estimate 50% – 75% initially, steadily declining to 10-25%.
Technical Skill Sets
• Possess a thorough understanding of PureHD’s capabilities and demonstrate sound project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
• MUST have proficient knowledge and skills in the numerous broadcast, cable, and satellite delivery/reception disciplines.
• MUST have advanced knowledge of MATV/CATV coax (digital preferred) cabling plant infrastructure and its associated passive/active components.
• MUST be able to troubleshoot HD-FTG systems and provide timely, effective repair.
• Understand different types of test equipment for troubleshooting and maintaining HD-FTG platforms.
• Experience with RF, 8VSB and QAM (analog/digital) modulation formats.
• Basic understanding of networking technologies to include Ethernet, TCP/IP, Switches, Routers and Remote Access products.
• Knowledge of MPEG, video streaming, and Pro:Idiom encryption standards.
• Ability to setup, configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot video systems.
• Strong knowledge of the TV industry with an emphasis in the hospitality arena.
• Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements up to and including HD-FTG IPTV delivery systems.
Qualifications
• A college diploma or combination of relevant education and work experience is a must.
• MS Project skills
• PMI certification strongly preferred but not required.
• Exhibit problem solver tendencies while working independently and as a team member.
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision in an environment that is constantly changing.
• MUST possess excellent verbal and written communication aptitude.
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects from a remote location.
• French fluency is a bonus.

Salary
• Salary based upon experience – $50-80,000
